Patient Management Module
The Patient Management Module serves as the master identity and demographic repository across Medzit NexHealth HMS. It governs Universal Health Identifier (UHID) allocation, national health ID integration (ABHA), biometric identification, emergency triage registration, and lifetime clinical history tracking.
Clinical & Business Purpose
- Single Patient Identity: Eliminates duplicate medical records by issuing a standardized immutable UHID across all OPD, IPD, Diagnostics, and Telemedicine visits.
- National Health Stack Interoperability: Seamlessly links patient profiles to government health stacks (such as Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission ABHA ID in India or national health insurance cards).
- Comprehensive Demographics: Captures full contact details, emergency contacts, blood group, allergies, primary insurance policy, and consent preferences.

Operational Best Practices
- Verify Mobile Number via OTP: Send a 6-digit SMS OTP during registration to prevent invalid phone number entry.
- Flag Severe Allergies: Always highlight drug allergies (e.g., Penicillin, Aspirin) in bold red badges on the top header of patient charts.
